Skill 2 Model Kit Plymouth ...

Build the Plymouth Funny Car "Mopower" with this 1/25 scale plastic model kit, an AMT-tooled release from Autoworld.

This 1/25 scale plastic kit, tooled originally by AMT and reissued under the Autoworld label, builds the funny car with its tilt-up fiberglass-style body, tube chassis, and injected V8 engine detail typical of 1960s-70s match-race funny cars. It's rated Skill Level 2, meaning it includes some finer detail work such as separate engine and chassis assembly beyond a basic snap-together kit, but remains approachable for modelers with some prior kit experience.

"Mopower" represents one of the Mopar-backed Plymouth Barracuda funny cars that competed in match-race and NHRA drag racing during the funny car era of the 1960s and '70s, when Chrysler, Ford, and GM factory teams campaigned purpose-built, fiberglass-bodied cars over tube-frame drag chassis. These flip-top funny cars, running supercharged V8s on nitromethane fuel, became some of the most popular attractions in American drag racing during the period, and Mopar-sponsored entries like this one were built to showcase the performance of Chrysler's factory V8 engines.

FAQs

Is this a real store or just a collection of affiliate links?

It’s both. TinkerTown features gear I actually use, love, and sometimes sell. Some links are affiliate links — if you click them, I might earn a few pennies. It helps me buy more stuff to break.

Easy. I tinker with it. If it survives my abuse, earns its keep, or solves a real problem — it goes on the site. If not, it goes in The Duds (yes, that’s a thing).

If it’s for something I sell directly — yes, you’ll get a real reply from a real human (me or someone I trust). If it’s an affiliate product, you’ll need to deal with the store you bought it from. I just point to the good stuff.

Absolutely! Got something you swear by (or swore at)? Hit the Contact page and share it. If I like it, I might test it and add it — credit included (unless it explodes).

Nope. No brand pays me to say nice things. Everything you see is tested and written with full creative freedom — including my right to roast terrible tools.
